There is a chill in the air!

That means fall is here and it is time to get ready for those cool autumn evenings doing homework during the week or house work during th day. But we all need some time to just sit down with a good book and do some personal reading. Well we have plenty of new books at the library and we can offer e-book check outs as well for your Kindle or iPad. The Nebraska Overdrive system is growing and improving their collection of available title and the waiting time for those latests titles is getting shorter as they improve. Speaking of improving Trenton Public Library is now getting an online card catalogue. It will take a little time to transfer the entire library inventory to our webpage but feel free to stop by and take a look. We call it OPAC which is short for "Online Public Access Catalogue". It will become a way for you for find and see what we have at the library 24/7.

Just a reminder if you want to check out electronic material from home over the internet you will need a library card with an access number. Come down to the library and pick one up, it is $2.50 per year to check out e-books.
Also, if you or anyone is in need of Internet access or aid in using or learning how to use computers or programs come down to the library. We can arrange training on a wide variety of topics and aid in any particular projects you may have. We might even be able to acquire special software programs for special projects.

Don't forget the library's expanding science fiction and DVD collection.
Also we have an ongoing book sale. Come in and find a book for your trip or an old favorite for your collection.

We have free internet access and WiFi for those of you who want to use your own laptops. There is also scanning, printing, copying and faxing services available. We are even able to read those various memory cards from cameras and phones. Now we offer VHS to DVD recording services.

The library offers a room for reading, working a puzzle, playing cards or board games. We are always trying to get a good game going, if you have a favorite and want to play, bring a friend and enjoy.

We also offer a large screen computer projection system for meetings and conferences. The library occasionally uses it for movies and special events.

We even have a few games available on our computers that do not have internet access and we are going to get more, so you will have to stop in from time to time to see what we have.

Room to read a magazine or do your homework, the library is a comfortable place to come and spend a few hours away from the noise and pressure at work, school or home.

As long as you are not too loud we very rarely yell "quiet!"

And the library has a wide selection of children's and young adult books to choose from and room for the young reader to lounge and explore the wonders of reading and the realms that imagination invite.
